MISSION
The mission of NCJC Housing & Development Foundation is (i) to improve the quality of life for seniors and the poor and distressed in the global community by promoting affordable housing and (ii) to combat community deterioration by encouraging the leasing, developing and rehabilitating of properties in economically challenged areas.
HISTORY
In 1968 the North Columbus Jaycees embarked on a project to provide affordable housing for senior citizens. North Columbus Jaycee Housing, Inc., an Ohio not-for-profit corporation, was created to be the development entity. Throughout the years, the North Columbus Jaycee Housing, Inc. has looked for other opportunities to purchase properties and continue their mission of providing well-kept and affordable housing for seniors and families. In 2009, through a generous donation from the North Columbus Jaycees, NCJC Housing & Development Foundation, an Ohio non-profit corporation, was formed. It is the vision of the Foundation to develop and expand affordable housing resources for low- and very low-income residents in the State of Ohio.
